However, before this will work, the domain itself must be pointed to our servers. To do this, a “nameserver” change must be made on the domain itself. This is done through the registrar or company that you registered the domain through.
In most cases, you will have a Control Panel login from your existing registrar where you can manage your domain. Within that control panel you should find a facility to change or update the domain’s nameservers. These should be changed to:
Primary: ns1.webhosting.ie
Secondary: ns2.webhosting.ie
Note: Nameserver changes can take up to 48 hours to take effect everywhere.
If you have difficulty in making a nameserver change, you will generally find instructions on the existing registrar’s support website. If you do not have a control panel login to manage the domain yourself, the company your registered the domain through should make the change for you if you supply them the nameserver information above.
You may also wish to transfer the domain name into your webhosting.ie account so that you can manage everything from your control panel. As all our hosting subscriptions include a free domain name, you may be able to transfer and renew your domain at no additional cost.
Primary: ns1.webhosting.ie
Secondary: ns2.webhosting.ie
